The Places

You'll hear me talk about traveling a lot on this blog, so I thought it would be nice to tell you a little bit about the places that I've been:

In 2013, I ventured to China for two weeks with a group of students from my University.  It was with the fashion department, so we toured a lot of textiles museums, silk factories and street markets.  I learned how to haggle for just about anything, figured out taking a cab in Beijing is much harder than it seems and spent an afternoon experiencing the fine art of tea drinking.

Read all about it here.

And then there was Paris.

In 2011, I moved to France.  I wanted to learn  how to speak French and wanted to see the Eiffel Tower; the only logical answer to both of those was to implant myself into the culture for 10 months.  It was the best decision I ever made and changed the way I look at the world.  That also happens to be the first place that I attended a Couchsurfing event.

On the weekends, I traveled to Germany, Czech Repulic, Belgium, Italy, Greece, England, Ireland, Luxembourg, the Netherlands...

I wrote down all my adventures in this neat little blog.

And yes, I learned French and I got to see the Eiffel Tower at the metro stop every day.
